Why wouldn’t any company with passion and vision be able to start without VC funding? The founders of this company are doing what millions of us are already doing right now. Everywhere else in the world other than tech, people bootstrap their businesses all the time. Plenty of us with virtual and brick and mortar businesses decided to go it on our own by hook or crook because we had a dream and passion. We save our money from jobs, or quit the job, jump in and pay for stuff with credit cards, consulting, etc. until we make money. Come on out of the tech bubble, folks. Of course Irrational Design can launch without VC funding. They already did. And I’ll bet their moxie is going to bring them much more joy because they don’t have the crazy VC money. - commenter
